Enviable pedigree in the loveliest ladies' watch of 2010. It is the creation of the regal jewellery house Boucheron and of Maximilian Büsser (MB&F), the watchmaker that has revolutionised haute horology. Boucheron has given the HM3 (2010 model) the anatomy of an owl, with two versions: one in white gold, amethysts, diamonds and blue and violet sapphires; and another one in red gold with tourmalines, rose quartz, diamonds and pink sapphires. From € 146.000.
The second owl on this podium, the Owl Watch, belongs to Chopard's Animal World collection and has won the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix 2010 in the Jewellery category. The case reproduces the bird's head and wings, an illusion that is carried to the strap. White and rose gold, trapeze-cut diamonds (7 carats), brilliant-cut diamonds (2 carats) and sapphires (4 carats). Edition limited to 15 timepieces at € 183.000 per piece.
“Gold Hand” in the Grand Prix of Geneva, this technical wonder received the applause of the experts. The Greubel and Forsey masters say goodbye to the mythical model that placed them among the best (Double Tourbillon), with the edition “Historique”, of which only 22 pieces will be sold. Double Tourbillonwhich compensates the earth’s gravity in any hand position, it has a novel face with a complex mechanism, sapphire glass plates and embossed letters. It costs 375,000 €.
After creating the series Opus in Harry Winston, Maximilian Büsser (& Friends) decided in 2005 to open their own store and develop astonishing "watch machines” of a non-conventional look. The No. 4, Design Award in Geneva 2010, is inspired in aeronautics to offer a watch different to any other. Over 300 components to show the time, minutes, seconds and power reserve. Price: 121,500 €.
"There are still 2 for sale. In 2005, the firm decided to launch 6 replicas of the “Number 5”, a legendary model made in 1794 by its founder, Abraham-Louis Breguet. It is a lifelong pocket watch, in yellow gold and with reference 1105BA12 in the catalogue: 60 hours of autonomy, face engraved by hand in guilloché (geometric embossed letters), lunar phases and à toc quarters repetitions. The original could be seen last summer in the exhibition ""Breguet in the Louvre"", in Paris."
Technical delicacy that dazzles experts with its tripe tourbillon and orbital turns at the rhythm of the Solar System. The 3Volution has a version in platinum and another one in galuchat (fish skin, normally shark or manta ray).
