Bernheimer-Colnaghi (Munich and London), a broad outlook
Though its main speciality is old masters of the 16th to 19th centuries, under Blanca Bernheimer’s direction, vintage and contemporary photography has taken a prominent place in its exhibition halls. The origins of this long-established family of antiques dealers go back to 1864, when the grandfather founded the business with a textile and oriental carpet shop. They progressively diversified their interests, and in 2002 acquired the Colnaghi gallery, founded in 1760.

6.- Kunstkammer Georg Laue (Germany), works made of exotic materials
Its collection focuses on Renaissance and Baroque art and includes objects made of coral, rhinoceros horn and amber. It is housed in a building designed in 1873 as a coffee house, located in central Munich.

The son of a celebrated antiques dealer, Fabrizio Moretti set up the gallery at the age of 22. That was in 1998. He now has offices in Florence, London and New York. His inventory draws on Italian – and especially Tuscan – painting up to the 17th century.

Nicolas Brimo set up as an antiques dealer on his arrival in Paris in 1908, on his brother’s advice. Years later, with his brother-in-law, he founded the gallery with its current name, specialized in Medieval and Renaissance artworks.
